Bowmore 22 year old Sauternes Cask is a lusciously sweet and surprisingly fruity Bowmore single malt whisky matured in American Oak ex-Bourbon casks and finished in French Oak Sauternes wine barriques for unprecedented dimensions of character.
Distilled in 1989, this rare single malt whisky has been gently nurtured for three decades in our finest Sherry hogshead and Bourbon barrels. Inspired by the art of time and the shorefront location of Bowmore Distillery, the colours and textures of driftwood and polished sea glass, along with the waters of Loch Indaal are encompassed in this exquisite limited release. Defined by a rich, fruity flavour and rounded by the unmistakable, subtle peat smoke of Bowmore.
A beautifully presented 30-year-old Vault Series Bowmore that was bottled in 2021 and released the following year exclusively for travel retail. Distilled in 1969, this rare Islay single malt was aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, creating a multi-layered character. The nose is floral with subtle notes of citrus fruits and vanilla cream, followed by lemon meringue, fudge, and grilled almonds that fill the palate—along with the undeniable, famous Islay smoke.
