Aberfeldy 25 Year Old Whisky
To celebrate the year our spirit first began to flow from the stills, 125 years ago, Malt Master Stephanie Macleod and Distillery Manager John MacKenzie have handpicked this whisky to commemorate a significant moment in ABERFELDY’s history. They chose to finish the beautifully aged whisky in Oloroso Sherry casks to augment its rich and fruity character and bestow a delightful spiced note. Delicate fruit notes rest on a malty, cereal base, with a hint of vanilla coffee and a long, satisfying finish.
Black treacle, walnut, prune, malt loaf, and a touch of gingerbread on the nose, topped with cinnamon, dark chocolate, clove, peppercorn, jellied blackberry, and honey. The palate revels in blueberry, black cherry, red apple, currants, sultana, baked orange, vanilla essence, red chile, pecan pie, and molasses, with a few coffee notes. This gives 100%, and benefits from a long mouth-coating finish of chocolate and soft spices.
